Legat Kingscott selected to provide architectural services at Westfall Local Schools
[Williamsport, OH] - Westfall Local Schools selected Legat Kingscott to provide architectural services including a master plan and renovations to three schools: Westfall High School, Westfall Middle School, and Westfall Elementary School. The improvements will respond to aging facilities, upgrade materials, and improve the district’s ability to provide 21st century learning.
“District Superintendent Cara S. Riddel said, “Legat Kingscott demonstrated an ability to listen, attention to detail, design capabilities, and accountability.”
The master plan will identify and prioritize improvements at all five district schools. It will also investigate ways to improve high school middle/school campus traffic flow and create a new central and secured entry for the high school and the middle school.
Board discussions include a 30,000-square-foot addition that would link the two schools while providing a secure, single point of entry. Legat Kingscott project manager Paul Garland said, “Discussions have suggested that the connecting addition could be an activity-filled centerpiece for the campus. It may house two new cafeterias, a kitchen, science labs, a media center, and classrooms.”
